Released in 1932, Indrasabha was one of the earliest sound films made in India, the very next year after Alam Ara, which was the first Indian talkie. It featured over seventy songs and was 211 minutes long. The movie was made by Jamshedji Framji Madan's company, Madan Theatre.Indrasabha holds the world record for the most number of songs - seventy two, in any musical ever made.
Indrasabha” based on the play written by Agha Hasan Amanat, the court poet of Wajid Ali Shah, the last Nawab of Awadh.The film with duration of three and half hours (211 minutes) was entirely in verse and Jehanara Kajjan, also known as Kajjanbai (1915–1945), or "Miss Kajjan",who was an Indian singer and actress active during the 1920s and 1930s, often referred to as the "Nightingale of Bengal", sang several songs, ensuring its roaring success all over the country.

- Parsi theatre was a highly influential movement in the realm of modern Indian theatre. It flourished between 1850 to 1930. 

The book bears the name of Seth Umrao Singh Luhariwala-Bhiwani on its cover. (Luhariwalas are one of the most prominent business families of Bhiwani- Haryana)
